This Privacy Policy explains how the Climate Dollar portal for CLUSD collects, uses, shares, protects and retains personal data. It applies to climatedollar.money, the Climate Dollar account portal, registration, account linking and future CLUSD purchase services. References to “Climate Dollar,” “CLUSD,” “we,” “us” or “our” mean the operator of this portal. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.

Google Sign-In
When you choose Continue with Google, we receive only the basic Google account information necessary to create or sign in to your Climate Dollar account, such as your name, email address and Google account identifier. Climate Dollar does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts or other Google account content.
How and why we use personal data
- Account and Google Sign-In data are used to create, secure and operate your account.
- Contact, platform and connection data are used to provide the correct Wayv Money or Wayv Pay registration and account-linking path.
- Verification and reference data are used to confirm onboarding status, support compliance checks and prevent duplicate or fraudulent accounts.
- Purchase-profile and order data are used to provide quotes, process and track requested CLUSD transactions, settle orders and maintain financial records when purchasing is enabled.
- Device, log and security data are used to detect abuse, investigate errors, protect users and maintain the availability and integrity of the portal.
- Consent records are used to document your choices and acceptance of applicable terms and disclosures.
Legal bases
Depending on the service, your location and applicable law, we process personal data where it is necessary to provide a service you request or perform a contract with you, where you have given consent, where processing is needed to meet a legal obligation, or where we or another party have a legitimate interest that is not overridden by your rights. Legitimate interests may include securing the portal, preventing fraud, maintaining records and improving service reliability. Where consent is the applicable basis, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that already took place.
Sharing and recipients
We share only the data reasonably needed for the relevant purpose. Recipients may include Wayv Money or Wayv Pay; identity, KYC and KYB verification providers; the CLUSD issuer and infrastructure providers; hosting, database and authentication providers; professional advisers; and payment, banking or settlement providers when a transaction requires them. We may also disclose data when required by law, regulation or a valid legal process, or where necessary to protect users, the portal or others. Climate Dollar does not sell personal data.
Identity documents
Climate Dollar does not collect or store identity-document images, selfies, proof-of-address scans or company incorporation documents in this portal. Those materials may be collected and held by Wayv and its verification providers under their own privacy notices. We store only the status and external reference identifiers needed to link your account and support the service.
Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating your account, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and meeting legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting obligations. Retention periods vary by data category. Account information is generally kept while your account is active; security logs are kept for a limited period; and consent, verification and transaction records may need to be retained longer. When data is no longer required, it is deleted, anonymised or securely isolated from ordinary use.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, authentication protections, encrypted transmission, restricted service access, monitoring and audit records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You should use a strong password, keep your sign-in method secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorised account activity.
International transfers
Climate Dollar and its service providers may process personal data in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use appropriate measures such as contractual protections, recognised adequacy decisions or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to complain to an appropriate data-protection authority. Some rights may be limited where we must retain information to meet legal obligations, protect security or establish or defend legal claims. To exercise a privacy right, email privacy@climatedollar.money. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Account and data deletion
You may request closure of your Climate Dollar account and deletion of associated personal data by emailing privacy@climatedollar.money from the email address connected to your account. Please write “Account deletion request” in the subject line. We will confirm the request, verify your identity where necessary and explain any information that must be retained for legal, compliance, fraud-prevention or transaction-record purposes. Closing a Climate Dollar account does not automatically delete records held independently by Wayv, Google or another third-party provider; requests concerning those services should be made directly to them.
Children and age eligibility
The portal is not directed to children. You must be of legal age to enter into the applicable agreement in your jurisdiction and meet the eligibility requirements of the selected Wayv platform. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the portal. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Cookies and local storage
The portal uses authentication cookies and essential browser storage to keep you signed in, protect account sessions, preserve your selected Wayv registration path during sign-in and support core security and service functions. These technologies are necessary for the portal to operate. We do not use them to access unrelated content in your browser or Google account.
Third-party services
The portal connects with third-party services such as Google Sign-In, Wayv Money, Wayv Pay, verification providers and payment or settlement providers. Their processing of information under their control is governed by their own terms and privacy notices. Climate Dollar is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites or services, but we select providers and share data with them for the purposes described in this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the portal, CLUSD services or legal requirements change. The version and effective date at the top of this page show when the current policy took effect. If a change is material, we will provide an appropriate notice through the portal or by another suitable method before the change takes effect where required.
